Running Plans Are Too Hard

Most running plans are too hard!

AND, TO BE HONEST, THAT’S BECAUSE WE OVERESTIMATE OURSELVES.

1️⃣ You want to dream BIG but you need to give your brain what it wants: instant gratification. That’s why a slow progression with regular rewards will keep your motivation high.

2️⃣ Very true for a new runner or a runner back from injury: walk/run intervals are 100% ok. And even recommended. I’d rather see you exercise 20 minutes daily rather than 2 hours on one day.

3️⃣ Competition is great and it helps many to go further. But keep in mind that we are all different. And we all have different running objectives. As I say that, I recognize that we all look at the Strava Club leaderboard, right?

This week, look at what you have achieved so far and pat yourself on the back. You are doing a great job. Keep at it.

Happy Running,
Coach Stephane
